The Dakota
One West 72nd Street

Steeped in history, the Dakota has been the home to the rich and famous for over one hundred years -- and some of those homeowners didn't want to leave even after they died. With it's unique and ornate design the building immediately sparks intrigue, but it's featured role in the horror classic "Rosemary's Baby" and it being the site of John Lennon's murder adds even more to it's haunted history. Lennon, along with many others, have claimed to have seen the ghost of a friendly little girl in turn-of-the-century dress. Workers and residents have also seen an adult male with the face of a little boy, and the ghost of Lennon himself.
